Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has said that goal-line technology would have resolved the embarrassing goal that he conceded against Ethiopia in Nigeria's 2-1 victory in Sunday’s first leg 2014 World Cup play-off game in Addis Ababa.
Walia Antelopes' midfielder Behailu Assefa scored in bizarre fashion
as Enyeama caught his deep left-wing cross after the ball had the
crossed the line. Enyeama said that Assefa’s goal should not have stood.
“From my position it wasn’t a goal and I’m still very surprised the
referee called it a goal because he wasn’t even on my line. He was
metres away. I’m surprised also that the second linesman called for a
goal,” Enyeama told the media.
“I’ll go back to see it on video but it still boils down to the
goal-line technology thing. I don’t know what to say but it wasn’t a
goal from my own perspective.”
Early in the first half, Nigeria defender Godfrey Oboabona made a
goal line clearance from Saladin Said’s shot which the home team had
begun celebrating before referee Neant Alioum adjudged it had not
crossed the line.
“[The first one] wasn’t a goal also. There’s a difference when the
video is on the line of the goal. [Oboabona] pulled the ball out almost
on the line,” Enyeama defended his team mate.
Fifa will introduce goal line technology at next year’s World Cup but
it’s not yet known how soon African countries will adopt it. Nigeria
will host the return leg in Calabar next month.

SAMSUNG'S GALAXY ROUND IS THE FIRST PHONE WITH A CURVED DISPLAY
Samsung
has taken the wrapper off its rumored smartphone
with a curved OLED display. The Galaxy Round, which will launch on
SK Telecom in South Korea, has a 5.7-inch 1080p screen the same size as seen on
the company's Galaxy Note 3, but there's a difference — it curves on the
vertical axis in a similar fashion to some of
Samsung's OLED TVs.
The
potential benefit of this screen technology isn't quite clear yet, but Samsung
is touting a new feature called "Round Interaction," which allows you
to look at information such as missed calls, battery life, and the date and
time when you tilt it on a flat surface with the screen off. Samsung also
claims that switching between home screens will feel like one continuous transition,
and has worked on new tilt- and tap-based interactions for the music and photos
apps.

Karen had breasts implants because of lumps found in her breasts' her PR claims
.jpg)

Sometime yesterday whilst preparing for her promo photo shoot, Karen and the World PR Media camp got wind of a tweet that was sent to our client, Karen Igho.
Yvonne Nelson quoted as follows "fake boobs, no wonder you don't have a bf". When Karen got the alert, she made several personal gestures to clarify the position of the tweet and the tweetee, but none of the enquiries was answered and a claim of 'handle hacking' was implied by the Nelson camp.
Just to update the Nelson team since we can't reach you, Karen's resort to breast implants were as a result of lumps found and removed in her breasts. And can you also be a good role model to your own younger fans by resisting online bullying or any other type of bullying for that matter.
Asari Dokubo Establishes University In Republic Of Benin

The leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Muhajid Asari-Dokubo has joined the swelling rank of private university proprietors with his establishment of a university in the neighbouring Republic of Benin.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo, who already owns a soccer academy in the West African country and another one in Abuja, said the university, which will be known as King Amachree African University, KAAU, had already been accredited to commence degree programmes beginning September 2014.
He told PREMIUM TIMES in an interview in Abuja that the proposed university, named after his ancestor, was a product of his two existing institutions in Benin Republic, namely King Amachree Automobile/ICT Royal Academy and King Amachree Arts Academy. Both of them, he added, currently award Diploma to their students.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo said he chose to establish the institutions in Benin Republic because he does not only live there, but has adopted it as his country.
“What we have now, we are awarding only diploma now. “By next September, Insha Allah, the university will start,” Mr. Asari-Dokubo, who dropped out of University of Calabar, he said.
“For now we have King Amachree Automobile/ICT Royal Academy and King Amachree Arts Academy. Two of them were merged. We have merged the two of them into king Amachree African University.
“King Amachree is my great ancestor. He was king of the Kingdom of new Calabar.”
On his soccer academy, the 50 year old Mr. Asari-Dokubo, an indigene of Rivers State, who refused to be tagged a former militant, said it was established to train the youth in soccer free of charge.
“We plan to engage the youths. It is free. We have a soccer academy in Abuja and we have another one in Republic of Benin,” he said.
More Nigerians are forced to go to Benin Republic, Ghana, Togo and other neigbhouring countries to acquire education due to the incessant labour disputes and industrial actions within the Nigerian university system as well as the deplorable state of education in the country.
Currently, students of both the federal and state universities in Nigeria are at home due to the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over the refusal of the Federal Government to honour its 2009 agreement with the union.
Other unions within the education sector, including the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, have also embarked on solidarity strike while the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, and Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, are reportedly on the verge of doing towing that path.
Students of the over 50 private universities in Nigeria, whose fees can only be afforded the rich, are however, in session.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo is, like former Niger Delta militants enjoying massive patronage from the current administration, believe to be very wealthy but his source of income is largely unknown.
There were speculation he made his fortune stealing crude oil in the Niger Delta. But he denied engaging in such practices, telling PREMIUM TIMES he had never been part of any act capable of endangering the Delta.

7 Things Women Want In Bed
Just about every sexist cliché will tell you that women are hard to please, both in and out of the bedroom. It’s not that women are hard to please; it’s that women know what they want.
Unfortunately, not every woman feels entirely comfortable expressing her sexual desires. Some women fear judgement, others are more guarded, and still others are asking in less obvious ways that often go unnoticed. Take a look at the 7 things women want in bed;
1. Be passionate
Sure, there's a time and a place for romance and gentle lovemaking, but what your woman really craves is raw passion. Want her. Take her. Kiss her hard. Make no apologies for how desperately you need all of her.
2. To be heard
Make no mistake, women know exactly what they like in bed. Be the kind of sexual partner who will eagerly respond to her guidance on how best to please her. Just know that your efforts will be rewarded and then some.
3. Show your pleasure
Allow your facial expressions, body language, and verbal cues to give her insight into what gets you hot. Remember, turning you on is a major turn-on!
4. Sexual intimacy
She wants to tell you her deepest, darkest naughty desires so the more open you are about your bedroom fantasies, the more open she'll be with hers.
5. Focus on her whole body
There are more than a few places on a woman's body that can bring her pleasure. While the old stand-by's are tried and true, try focusing on the whole of her body rather than the sum of its parts.
6. Verbal affirmation
According to a survey, 44 percent of women are turned on by a simple, "I love you" while "You're so hot!" does it for 26 percent of the ladies.
7. Dirty talk
Engage her naughty side and tell her exactly what you're thinking. Tell her what you want to do and then do it!
Ghanaian Rapist Demands Mercy In Court Because He Didn’t Ejaculate

According to Modern Ghana. A 31-year old Ghanaian, Kwame Anane asked a court to show him mercy after he was arrested on rape charges because he didn't reach climax, even though he admits he did the deed and he insisted he had the full consent of the girl who agreed to be given some money after the sexual encounter.
‘My Lord, although I penetrated, I did not get any enjoyment because some people appeared at the scene and we had to stop immediately, so have mercy on me.’
His plea and explanation however could not win the sympathy of an Accra Circuit Court which sentenced him to seven years imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, the accused bought some items from the victims mother on credit and failed to pay after a long time.
When he later met the victim’s mother and she demanded for her cash, he asked her daughter to come for it later. It was this debt that the girl was sent to collect from Anane at his shop in Accra.
Even though Anane could not settle the debt, he forced the girl into sex in an uncompleted building while seeing her off. Unfortunately for him, he was caught by some masons who had come to work on the building.
He took to his heels upon seeing the witnesses but the victim was led to the mother at home to report. The mother in turn lodged a complaint with the police. A medical report from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital revealed that the girl had been penetrated.
Anane was later arrested and charged with defiling a girl under 14 years but he claimed that it was the girl who fondled with his manhood and told him to do it and give her money in return.

The mystery woman, who has shaved eyebrows and hair, adding to the dramatic look, visited an LA based tattoo parlor to make her bold statement. Limping BlackBerry makes buyout overtures to Google, others -- report
The beleaguered smartphone maker is seeking "preliminary expressions of interest" for all or part of the company from Google, Samsung, LG, and others, according to news agency Reuters.
Struggling smartphone maker BlackBerry is in touch with Google, Samsung, Intel, and other tech heavyweights about a possible buyout, according to a Reuters report.
The news agency cites several unnamed sources "close to the matter" in reporting that the Canadian company "has asked for preliminary expressions of interest from potential strategic buyers" by early next week. Those contacted include Cisco, Google, Intel, LG, Samsung, and SAP, Reuters said, adding that those companies declined to comment (or, in Samsung's case, hadn't yet replied).BlackBerry is floating the idea of a complete or partial acquisition, Reuters reports, and "the potential technology buyers have been especially interested in BlackBerry's secure server network and patent portfolio, although doubts about the assets' value remain an issue." It's not clear if any of the companies will make an offer.
Last month, Toronto-based insurer Fairfax Financial Holdings said it would lead a consortium that intends to take BlackBerry private, with a tentative $4.7 billion bid. The embattled smartphone maker is also said to have attracted interest from firms specializing in "distressed investing," including private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management LP.
In response to Reuters' queries about this latest info, BlackBerry told the news agency in a statement only that "the special committee, with the assistance of BlackBerry's independent financial and legal advisers, is conducting a robust and thorough review of strategic alternatives."
BlackBerry also apparently has some office space for sale.
Microsoft Surface selling out? We've seen this movie before
Microsoft claims its Surface tablet is selling out. That should give pause to anyone who remembers the first-generation Surface debacle
Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer with his company's Surface tablet
Microsoft says its Surface tablets are close to selling out. Hmm...Time for a reality check.
First, a mea culpa. I wrote a story or two last year about Surface selling out. While technically accurate, it belied the catastrophe in the making for the first-generation Surface RT.
And here we go again. "It...looks like pre-order stock of the Surface 2 (64GB) and Surface Pro 2 (256 GB and 512GB) are close to selling out," Microsoft said in its official Surface blog on Wednesday.
That's good marketing, if nothing else. But I'm guessing that doesn't necessarily mean there's lots of demand for the product. It means that Microsoft doesn't have that many on hand. And even if Microsoft boosts supply, that won't necessarily work out in the long run. A CNET story on Friday said this: "In the case of its first-generation Surface RT device, Microsoft ended up building many more tablets than it could sell."
And it got uglier after that. In July, the company announced a $900 million write-down for excess Surface inventory and disclosed an underwhelming $853 million in revenue from Surface tabletsoverall.
So, before we get giddy about Surface 2 "selling out," let's see how this plays out over the long haul.
Yes, it's always possible Microsoft has a certifiable hit on its hands. The Surface Pro 2, powered by Intel's Haswell chip, has much better battery life and sports Windows 8.1. While the Windows RT-based Surface 2 -- of which 11,000 have been ordered by Delta Air Lines -- is thinner/lighter, packs a faster Nvidia Tegra 4, and has a high-resolution 1,920x1,080 screen for the first time (matching the one already on the Pro).
But I'm less optimistic this time around because of all the Windows 8.1 hybrid competition from Microsoft "partners" like Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Sony, Asus, Lenovo, and Acer.
All of the above companies have announced a crush of Windows 8.1 detachables and convertibles that will give Surface a lot more competition than the initial, mostly lackluster designs that came out last fall.
A Microsoft spokesman declined to comment.
The Dell XPS 11 is one of many decent Windows 8.1 hybrids set to flood the market.
